SIDREC is a one-stop independent dispute resolution centre for disputes involving monetary claims relating to capital markets products and services. We were set up under the Capital Markets and Services (Dispute Resolution) Regulations 2010 to provide free, fair and expert help to the public investors and our Members.

Case Manager

Job Description

  • Case Management through the complete dispute resolution cycle
  • Investigation of issues raised
  • Providing administrative and research support where necessary
  • Participation in awareness efforts

Job Requirement: Qualification and Experience

  • A strong first degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, Banking or the equivalent from a recognised university and relevant professional qualification
  • At least 7 years of capital market experience with a capital market intermediary or relevant regulatory authority or from legal practice
  • Good knowledge and experience of the operations of the capital market, its regulatory and market framework and applicable laws
  • Experience in compliance functions would be an advantage
  • Experience or exposure to mediation and/or arbitration would be an advantage

Other General Requirements

  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English
  • Good written and spoken communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a diverse team
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team, proactive and results oriented
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office applications with experience in working with Excel and PowerPoint applications

New Avenue to Settle Claims

The Securities Industry Dispute Resolution Centre (Sidrec), an alternative dispute resolution approved by the Securities Commission that was set up in January, is already reviewing cases from aggrieved claimants.
