The Rotary Clubs of Kota Kinabalu and the Kota Kinabalu Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KKCCCI) have recently came together to organise seminars and talks for its members in an effort to better educate them on the services provided by the Securities Industry Dispute Resolution Center (SIDREC). This effort was extensively covered in several of the Sabah’s news publications such as Daily Express, Sin Chew Jit Poh, See Hua Daily News and Overseas Chinese Daily.
“We are very happy to collaborate with SIDREC to promote this initiative because awareness of the good work that SIDREC does for retail investors is almost unheard of in this part of the country,” said Luyang Rotary President Stephen Siaw. This initiative was a lead-up to the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC)’s inaugural event — Bersama InvestSmart® @ Borneo – Sabah 2019 at Imago Shopping Mall on 29-30 June. SIDREC was established by the SC to offer dispute resolution the retail investors should they have claims of monetary losses which happened through no fault of their own.
